Our 
Mission

We provide new parents in Peoria County and Tazewell County, Illinois with the essentials, education, and encouragement they need for their baby’s first days of life.

Day One exists to promote healthy outcomes, encourage love, and strengthen the support of each child. Inspired by Finland’s Baby Box program, we gift families a Day One Box — filled with more than $500 of newborn essentials along with educational resources — to ensure every baby begins life with dignity, safety, and love.

How it Works

Create your Parent Profile. Answer a few questions about you and baby.

Attend at least 4 prenatal appointments with your healthcare provider and upload proof of visits to your Parent Profile.

Let us know through your Parent Portal when baby is born and we will deliver your free Day One Box!

Your Gift Makes a Difference

Every gift helps ensure babies begin life safe, supported and loved. 

Whether it is $50 to add diapers and wipes to the Day One Box, or $500 to fund the entire Box, your generosity helps provide essentials and support to local families.
